Train train!

It was one of those rare weeks where Lester didn’t need to go Expo for early sound check as the C3 band was here! (Awesome band) So we had all the time we needed till the service started. We decided to boycott our car and take public transport instead (In conjunction to the earth hour…. Hehe like real). Tris is always very excited when he sees a bus, train or a plane so we brought him for a ride. Took the bus to Sengkang for breakfast and took MRT and LRT back home. It was a blast for him!! He was especially fascinated with LRT! Well here are some pics.

Playgroup in Church

Tris is coming 21 months.  We decided to bring Tris to playgroup instead of nursery.  He is quite ok.  At times, he was cranky, stuck to me.  He was attentive during lesson time.  Had a short attention span.  Moreover, it was his first time.  Will get used to it.  We celebrated his friends’ birthday during playgroup.  He did the “Kind” medal.  He coloured it himself.  Smart boy!

The time which he did enjoy was: EATING TIME!  He ate the cake.  It was delicious.  He fed himself.  So smart!!

It was a fulfilling time when he could learn to sing, praise, worship God and learnt bible story.  It was also a tiring time for me as I need to carry him most of the time.  Things will get better!

Karihome Goat Milk sweets

I bought Karihome Goat Milk sweets from Carrefour for Tris to try.  He liked it!  It comes with blueberry, yoghurt, original and strawberry flavour with different shapes.

Goat’s Milk is better than cow’s milk.  Here  are some information:

What is the difference between goat and cow milk?

Among all the animal's milk suitable for consumption, only cow and goat milk are nutritionally close to human and have been shown to be an excellent source of nutrition.Goat milk is closer to human because the protein profile is more similiar. Goat milk protein forms smaller and finer curd and has more than double the typical amount of medium chain triglyceride (MCT) in cow milk. Goat milk protein is much easier to digest and absorb and hence children have less incidence of having indigestion or allergy.
Goat milk has also been shown to contain high concentration of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) that is very low in cow milk. EGF is a natural ingredient in human milk. It promotes gut and cell development and recovery.
An enzyme known as Platelet Activating Factor Acetyl Hydrolase, which can break down allergen, has also been isol ated from goat milk during research.

What are the benefits of goat milk?

Goat milk has natural bioactive factors such as nucleotides, taurine and polyamine which help to build up the immune system. Absorption of calcium, iron, copper and zinc is higher in goat milk than cow milk. Goat milk is also good for lung, stomach and intestine. So there are fewer incidences of cough, phlegm and indigestion. Feedback from parents that their children's asthma improve after a few months of taking Karihome goat milk.

You can try it too!

Maid is coming…

Finally, my maid is coming on 4 May.  She can speak Mandarin, Hakka and Cantonese.  Can communicate with my mom.  It’ll be a great help for me during this period of time.  I can spend more time with Tris and the maid can mainly help to do housework.

Maid or No maid

In the beginning, I don’t like the idea of having a maid.  After Tristen was born, I put him in the office nursery.  I stopped letting him go after five months later as he was sick quite often due to the environment.  It was very very cold!

Thank God, my mom helped me to take care of him.  My mom is super!  Not only she takes care, but she cooks for the entire family everyday and does housework at the same time!

Now, the 2nd child is coming in June.  I was in dilemma whether we should employ a maid to help us with our housework.  Mind you, our housework really piles up!  With Tris around at home, i cannot really do much.

We were very blessed by Pastor’s message these few weeks on relationships.  After much discussion, we decided to go ahead with the idea of having a maid.  She can help my mom also with Tristen and the baby. My mom will be more free up to do other things.

This Monday, we are going to the maid agency recommended by Lily.  Pray for wisdom!!!  Confess: I am going to have a GREAT MAID! (1000 Xs)
